Medical Billing and Coding

Description

This course will go over the skills of Medical Billing and Coding. This course is approximately 16 weeks. This course is completely virtual and self-paced allowing students to complete it on their own time.

Topics include:

• Coding Overview
• ICD-10-CM Coding System
• ICD-10-CM Outpatient and Physician Office Coding
• ICD-10-PCS Coding System
• ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS Inpatient Hospital Coding System
• Health Care Procedure Coding System – HCPCS Level II Coding System
• Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Coding System
• Insurance and Reimbursement Overview

Requirements:

• Must live within the USA (if you don’t certification will not be issued)
• Must be 18 years old at time of graduation
• No criminal background
• High school graduate or equivalent (GED)

Upon completion students will be eligible for national certification testing through American Allied Health.

This course is completely virtual and self paced. No physical products will be mailed.
